The couch issue.

Yesterday, Abby learned how to scale the couch. Today, she perfected it.
Dangerous? Yes. Fun? Double yes.
The worst part is that when I look over to see what she's up to (you know that all too quiet sound of triumph) she hugs the couch, presumably to escape trouble.
Ay yi yi.

Abby's working on 2 skills- drinking from a cup and walking!!

We have a video someplace of the first time she got serious about crawling. She crawled to a cup that time, and walked to it this time. Girl likes her cups!

Getting there...

I have made a lot of progress in the last 24 hours on this project... I am really happy with the way it is coming out! I originally meant it to be rectangular and small (for a baby size quilt), but now I have decided that I want to use it for Abby's toddler size quilt for toting around the house and cozying up on the couch with, so it was perfect that the quilted bits turned out exactly square (I kid you not!) and now it's a little oversized and I love it. I am liking it! I will finish it off with warm and natural batting, and a brown binding that matches some brown in some of the prints. The back is the same color as the blue border.

It's too bad that quilting is so expensive, because I could really get in to doing this more often. =]

Coming right along.

I came up with an intricate method for laying out each and every of the 30 patterns, complete with excel spreadsheet to keep me on track, which really amounted to spreading the colors out semi-even-ish. So far so good!
